The George on Collins has announced a new partnership with MasterChef star, Khanh Ong! As part of Khanh’s permanent residency at the revamped George, the new curated menu presents the best of both traditional and modern Vietnamese cuisine. From hue stained glass dumplings with prawns, pork, spring onion and heirloom carrots, to five spice slow cooked lamb shoulder and coriander sauce – Khanh dares to push the culinary boundaries.

As a partner in the business, Khanh is exploring his creative side, whilst delving into his first official business venture.

“I love the idea of having a bar, events space and restaurant where food is the forefront, but entertainment isn’t far behind. The new offering is a reflection of all my favourite parts of life rolled together, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it,” said Khanh.

Khanh has always credited his mum for his knowledge and knack in the kitchen as the pair would routinely cook together throughout his childhood. He has developed a deep appreciation for his heritage, regularly zipping off to Vietnam on foodie trips where he enjoys the authentic flavours and scents of lemongrass, ginger, soy and chilli.

To celebrate this new chapter, The George launched Khanh’s menu with a fabulous dinner event last week. Working alongside head chef Quim Hernandez, Khanh treated guests to a generous banquet, exotic cocktails, RnB grooves and even a pop-up tattoo parlour! Make sure to pop into The George for dinner, lunch or a late night indulgence at the bar.
