A Brunny gem serving up Southeast Asian with a contemporary twist. This is no ordinary restaurant my foodies. This laid back eatery offers some seriously unique dishes with a lengthy, and might I add KILLER, cocktail list too.

Crispy Soft Shell Crab Salad

With a cocktail (or 3) upon arrival, we commenced the feast with the Roast Duck Rice Paper Rolls, layered with basil, mint, lettuce and hoisin. I'm not a massive fan of duck because it can be too chewy when it's not done right. But this bird was as tender as they come. As we perused the menu, we couldn't go past ordering the Pulled Pork Tacos, contrasted with sour Asian pickles, hoisin & mayo.

Meen Moilee Grilled Tiger Prawns

Onto the main event. We devoured the Vegan Crisp Fried Organic Silken Tofu with red pumpkin curry, basil & lime on rice (both Gluten free AND Vegan – winning!), the Chilli-Caramel Pork Belly and seared scallops, and one of the top recommended Chef’s picks – the Massaman Curry of Goat with peanut, sweet potato, star anise and cassia. We supplemented this all with some fresh sides, including the Crispy Soft Shell Crab Salad with green apple slaw and laksa mayo, and the classic fried rice. The succulent Meen Moilee Grilled Tiger Prawns was our favourite hands down.

We finished on a sweet note of course, ordering the Peanut Butter Parfait with chocolate ganache and ice cream.

Ah, you thought that was it? You have much to learn, young grasshopper. We dabbled a little more in the desserts, ordering the Coconut Panna Cotta with berry coulis and Roti Pancake with banana, coconut jam and ice cream. Treat yo’self right?! (We hate ourselves). Naturally, to wash this all down we ordered an array of cocktails including the Whiskey Smash, Monsoon Season, Saigon South and an Indian-spiced Old Fashioned. Oh and did I mention they have Happy Hour? 5-7pm: $5 wine, $5 beer and $10 cocktails. Run, don’t walk.
